From 2000-2006, Siemens mobile was among the largest commercial sponsors in European football, with an annual sponsorship budget of around € 75 million.
This unique Pan-European sponsorship project included being the principal sponsor of Real Madrid CF, Girondins Bordeaux and Lazio Rome. The project involved around 20 additional Premium Sponsorships in 10 different countries, including top international teams like AC Milan, Manchester City, FC Bayern Munich and Chelsea FC.
DAVNIS Sports Managing Director Dirk Schluenz (at that time the Key Account Manager responsible for Siemens mobile within the Sportfive agency) led the team that consulted with Siemens mobile on all core aspects of the project including sponsorship selection and evaluation, contract negotiation and developing award-winning marketing concepts.
